Why Prayer?

Prayer is the very breath of communication with God. It is one of the foundational tenants and disciplines of all Christian faiths.  It is a common denominator of Christianity.  There is incredible power in prayer when we pray in accordance with God's will and in Christ's name.  I have personally seen and heard of absolutely incredible  answers to prayer!  It is one thing that God has asked us to do for ourselves and others as well. Prayer is talking to God as to a friend.

The Pr-air net has been developed to give any amateur operator a forum to bring prayer requests before the Lord, and to have other believers join them in intercessory prayer This is not a theology debate net.  It is a prayer net.

The Pr-air net Began meeting locally on VHF in Southern Illinois on 146.805 (88.5 tone), beginning on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 8:30 pm Central Time.  I hope to expand to 40 and 80 meters, as well as digital modes when I get an HF radio.  Announcements about this will follow.

We take check-ins and receive prayer requests from them as we go.  In that way, a person does not have to wait for an entire roll call to share a request.  We do not need a long history, the Lord knows each case.  (Example: "I would like prayer for my neighbor Bob who has been laid off, and for his wife who has cancer."  It is not necessary to explain about Bob's rotten boss, or to explain how he got railroaded.  A long drawn out explanation of his wife's miseries and what all of the doctors say is also not needed.)

Try to limit each request to about 50 words per person requested for.  We will offer a prayer for all of the requests presented at the end of the roll.  Requests are then printed and placed on this site below for anyone to review and pray for them.  We love to hear stories of answered prayer, so contribute praises also!  Requests will be kept on the site for three months.  Please do not send the same request for at least two weeks.
